Sara Millerey González

The subject of the portrait is Sara Millerey González, a 32-year-old transgender woman from Colombia who was brutally murdered in April 2025. The portrait is created from pages of Harry Potter books. The author has purposefully and relentlessly contributed to a culture that vilifies and endangers trans people around the world. This project seeks to provide healing to multiple generations of queer readers who found refuge in a magical world, only to have it tainted by the author's dangerous and harmful exploits.
